By the time the game was released, I was so much more experienced than 90% of the people playing. Thank you BWE!

i met a noob in HA a few days ago.

i was assemabling an IWAY team(plz dont hate it cuz we beat u) and theres this guy who claims to be a trapper, so i accept him and we get going. as soom as we load he lays NR lvl 1, and if that wasnt noob enough if runs down the hill and starts trying to trap them. needless to say we flamed him, then suicided and ran back to HA kicked him and then got a good trapper.

Supposed to? No.

Can they? Very much so.

My Elementalist regularly walks guildies through Thunderhead Keep by tanking with a torch and letting the guildie kill things off with henchies. Where stance tanking fails due to Jade Armors' Wild Blow, Ward Against Melee + Armor of Earth + Obsidian Flesh own. My Ele has tanked in both Underworld and Fissure, and have done better than many warriors on occasion.

Now for my noob story. I sometimes give my guildies the Complete Tour of the Crystal Desert, hitting every mission town and outpost between LA and Ascension. I hate going empty, so out of the kindness of my heart I invite anyone who happens to be in the same district to tag along. One of these "tag along" guys completely ignored my directions in Sanctum Cay, getting himself and the party killed by rejecting the common sense and the pleas of the party members. We dropped him as soon as we popped out in Sanctum Cay again and went through the mission with someone else; I of course got the obligatory "Dood wtf?" despite explaining him his errors as he was making them. He stopped PMing me shortly after we entered the mission, so I thought he had learned his lesson.

A couple of days later, out of the blue, I get a PM from him saying he wants me to come get him through Sanctum Cay, for free. First, I remind him that I was doing the run as a favor to a guildie, and he was a tag-along. Then, I remind him he got the party killed and we had to repeat the mission. His response? "What did I do?" "Where are you?" "When are you coming?"

At least I can't say I don't try

^That one might be better served in the jerks topic.

I've helped out with the first few missions a few times, either with a new character or just for the heck of it with a powered character. And, I've had my fair share of jerks and idiots while doing this, but I've also had some good laughs.

A favorite trick of mine is to go into the second mission with some newbies, get them all the way to the last catapult, tell them to wait at the catapult (after I explain how to opporate it), then I go and gather the mob a bit so they can one-shot the whole mob... and me along with it ^^ Get great laughs, and helps them learn that even a level 20 can die in a heartbeat. That, and it's hilarious.

"ZOMG U KILLED ME!! lol"

some nubs are cute.

i feel bad for the ones that try to sell some "awesome gold weapon" because its gold, and near-max damage, with some kinda weird stat.
and when theres like one lookin for a group to level or questing with.. meh!

This really bugs me.... Guild Wars is supposed to be different from other online games, with a helpful community, & then you read this...

I've been playing this game since it's 1st release in the UK, I've beaten PVE a few times & now like concentrating on GvG, but I will still help new players out when I can.

My favourite thing to do now is start a new pre character & hijack the scammers when they try things like buying black dye for peanuts or selling way overpriced junk..

well thats how it started out, but i say give it a few years and it'll no different than D2 with better graphics. if any of u still play, or have played D2 in the recent past then u know what i'm talking about. half the ppl u meet are scammers, and the other half r bots. 4 out of 5 ppl run hacks and its such an old game that blizzard doesnt even care any more

Some are fun. What I like to do with noobs, Necros especially, is when during missions, after they cast Animate Bone Horrors, Id return it with a Verata's Sacrifice secretly and the whole party will soon ROFL being impressed with an army following the noobie Necro. Its a nice happy deceive.

All trappers have 16 WS? No... I chose to pump Expertise. Why? Cheaper skills. And Oath Shot. And cheap+Oath Shot= Magnificent combo.
